Iran film ‘The Color Chocolate’ to make debut in December

Children’s film ‘The Color Chocolate’ by Iranian director Soheil Movafagh is set to open across Iran theaters in December.

The film made a presence at 2017 International Festival for Children and Youth in Iran was nomed in for three awards: Best Director, Best Film and Best Child Actor.

“Everything starts with a box of chocolate… That means I was a kid… When you are a kid, chocolate is the most adoring taste in the world,” a brief synopsis for the film read.

The film stars actors such as Shabnam Moghaddam Nasser Hashemi, Mohammad-Reza Hedayati and Arzhang Amirfazli.

Moghaddam gained the Diploma of Honor for this film from 2017 International Festival for Children and Youth.

The IFFCY is annually organized by Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.

It is an event that celebrates films made for children and youth. The festival supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas. It is also an event that serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.

The 30th edition of IFFCY was held from June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the historic Iranian city of Isfahan.
